The living room/dining room area is large and very comfortable with a nice wood-burning fireplace and a hearth to sit on while you warm your back. The table seats 6 and there is a long wooden bar that has 3 stools between the kitchen and dining areas. The large sofa and chair in the living room are a great place to sit and relax, read a book, watch the flat-screen TV, or just admire the beauty of the mountains and trees outside. Complimentary secure Wi-Fi. There is also sunny south-facing deck with a Weber BBQ and 2 chairs, which can be a relaxing place to enjoy the fresh Mammoth Lakes air.
The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need to cook and serve any size meal. There is a crockpot, waffle iron,drip coffee maker, toaster and a blender. Plenty of platters, plates, drinking glasses, wine glasses, and silverware makes serving your meal a breeze.
From the parking garage to the front door is all indoors - no snowy or icy walkways. There are 2 vehicles allowed in the parking garage with a 7-foot clearance. There are no elevators so you do have several flights of stairs to the unit from the garage. The condo is on the backside of the building keeping this place secluded and quiet.
Mountainback is walking distance to Canyon Lodge (uphill) or The Village, and The Village Gondola (downhill to shopping and restaurants). The Blue Line Shuttle (winter) and The Town Trolley (nights & summer) stops just to the left at the end of the driveway and will take you to The Village or on up to Canyon Lodge. The Mammoth Trail System is just across Lake Mary Road behind our building. You can bike or walk down to town or up to the lakes. Park your car in the underground parking and forget it for the rest of your trip. No shoveling out of the snow or jumping in a hot car when it is time to head home. Perfect for skiing/snowboarding in the winter and hiking/biking in the summer! The premises has 6 jacuzzis, 1 sauna and 1 swimming pool (open in the summer) with BBQ area! Washer and dryer are inside the unit! There are many sightseeing activities you can check out nearby; like Mammoth's Consolidated Mine or Sotcher Lake! Yosemite National Park is only 40 minutes away. Make a trip out of it and visit Bodie State Historic Park. A genuine California gold-mining ghost town. Mono Lake, one of the oldest lakes in the western hemisphere, is hauntingly beautiful, reflecting the snow-capped Sierra Nevada in its shimmering blue waters. Highway 395 has many scenic side roads that are amazing to explore, the June Lake Loop is one of the most beautiful. This 16-mile drive on State Route 158 takes you past a half dozen lakes, providing fantastic views of the high mountains surrounding the small valley. There are restaurants, places to fish and tons of great photography spots all along the drive. So come on over to Mammoth's Mountainback condos in California and enjoy a WONDERFUL Vacation for up to 8!
