Driving the quaint alpine street to Timber Ridge it's likely you'll share the road with deer. They are quite at home on this forested hillside, as you will be when you reach the Timber Ridge complex near the top. From your lofty aerie, you'll be able to ski 50 yards (during ski season) into the mountains ski runs from one side and experience fantastic views out across the magnificent valley on the other. In addition to this remarkable location of the complex, the interior of this warm vacation home perfectly complements its grand setting.

This Timber Ridge home has recently been remodeled and updated. New tile floors greet you upon entry. The modern recessed lighting throughout is modern and lovely; but does not compare with the natural light that pours through the immense windows that offer breathtaking views high above the tree-covered slopes that unfold before your eyes. The view from the immense living room windows out across Mammoth Lakes is spectacular.

The roomy kitchen has newer appliances, and beautiful granite countertops recently enhanced with a brand-new backsplash. This Timber Ridge kitchen is well-appointed to accommodate groups for any occasion.

The Timber Ridge master bedroom has its own bathroom suite. A king-sized bed draped in warm, soft luxury offers a comfortable vantage to watch your favorite cable channel shows on a large, flat-screen tv while in Mammoth or maybe just a place to rest your weary body after a day of skiing, cycling, hiking, fishing, or shopping.

The Timber Ridge second bedroom also boasts a big comfortable king-sized bed, equally furnished with warm, soft linens. Watch tv in here too, or maybe, weather permitting, enjoy your own private balcony.

The living room has a sleeper sofa tucked away for extra bed duty if need be. This living room has a view. It has a beautiful flat-screen tv, an amazing fireplace, and cozy seating, but, it has a view. A good one. Maybe that's why the windows are large, floor to ceiling large. Not even large enough. The main balcony is off the living room. It now has a new gas grill waiting to cook.

There is ample firewood, neatly stacked in the dry and warm garage, for the wood-burning stove. Only steps from your door, this private, secure garage still has enough room for cars.

Timber Ridge complex has a very nice recreation area. There is a sauna. A large jacuzzi/hot tub, an indoor/outdoor swimming pool, and a recreation/exercise room. It is worth mentioning that the wooden-framed recreation room has a fireplace and large windows with tree-filled views.

Whether you want access to the ski runs or simply a memorable place to stay in Mammoth, this home is excellent. The view alone will not soon be forgotten. Add complimentary wifi and cable tv, plus the nearby sauna, pool, jacuzzi center, and it all makes a stay at Timber Ridge something special. (The roads are very steep. When covered in snow, please drive cautiously.)

Experience everything Mammoth has to offer, Devils Postpile National Monument is 13 miles away. Hike to Rainbow Falls. The Yosemite National Park gate is a 40 miles drive north of Mammoth Lakes. Located on the Tioga Road just east of Crane Flat, the Tuolumne Grove has about two dozen mature giant sequoias!
